Weekend in KC

We spent last weekend in Kansas City and celebrated my cousins 16th Birthday, had a baby shower for Aunt Sashi (Traci) & a 60th Birthday Party for our Aunt Donna.

Will had so much fun over the weekend. Friday night he played with his new buddy Carter. He gave him a ton of hugs; I think Carter was hugged out by the end of the evening, but it was so sweet.

We spent most of our weekend outside...because, well where else do this child want to be!?! We'd come in, say heeeeyyyy, then bolt back out to play with rocks!

Then Saturday we had a baby shower for Aunt Traci. These cupcakes were to die for, though you felt like you ate all of them only after eating 1. YUM!

This is the Birthday Boy! Austin, he turns 16 on the 20th. Be glad he lives in Florida!!! Just kidding. During the shower, the guys spent the afternoon at this sports bar called 810 Zone...trying to spell Thasaurus (sp?) and create words using it and the dicitionary to play "words" on their iphones. Yeah, beer and Words; you can imagine where that went! (so we are clear; Austin wasn't partaking in the beer drinking...to my knowledge anyway!)

Then saturday afternoon we shopped....for Will of course and Baby D. They got loaded up on clothes. Will was a MAJOR Papa's boy over the weekend. In the picture above, he was calling Papa because he couldn't see him. Last week he was a Momma's boy, now if you aren't Daddy, Papa or Mike (Grandpa Mike); you pretty much are out of sight.

I didn't have my camera for Aunt Donna's 60th Birthday Party, I was trying to keep Will entertained so he wouldn't go into complete meltdown mode. He went all day w/out a nap and not one ounce of down time to at least get some rest and we were outside for 90% of that time, so the sun really wore him out. He did absolutely amazing though...thanks to Uncle Jason and his fist pounding game. I'll get pictures from everyone else and post them, there were some pretty funny ones.
