Cuddles at Night!

Last week Will no longer got to take his cuddles to school. He wouldn't participate in any activities or play w/ his friends; he held his cuddles all day. He did quite well w/out it all week and when at home, he only gets it close to bedtime (as in right after bath) then to sleep. We now refer to cuddles as "Night Night" (which he named) and that's the only time he gets it. YAY for daycare helping me transition him!

So, clearly it's close to night night time so he's enjoying his night night and.....

trying to lay in the window seal......

almost there and I have to note that his thumb never left his mouth nor did night night leave his face......

Then...SUCCESS! Now laying in what seems to be, a very cozy position in the window seal. I tried the position; you have to be small for it to be comfy!
Another great thing about loosing cuddles at school is he's not sucking his thumb unless he has the blanket which now is only before bed. He never has sucked the thumb in his sleep but always when he has his blanket and he's awake.
So Bye Bye Cuddles, Hello Night Night!

Few More Pics from Kansas

A few pictures from Aunt Donna's Birthday Party.

FINALLY!!!! A picture of the 3 of us. I'm never in front of the camera, I have over 4,000 pictures of Will (yeah, I know a lot) and I'm in maybe 1/4 of them. So sad!!!

Our sweet cousin Austin who officially turned 16 yesterday. We love him dearly.

Will at Nana's eating cookies. Kid loves cookies.

FUNNY FACES! God blessed me with a child who might actually out do me in funny facial expressions. Aunt Traci took this and had quite a laugh after.

See he's been making them since he was little bitty.
We love funny faces in this family, especially my sister, she truly loves capturing the most extreme expression on my face everytime she has the camera. She's quite mean about it now; since she got her Nikon camera, she gets snap happy. Now she has 2 faces to capture and laugh at.

I CAN'T SEE WITH THESE THINGS ON!!!!

Will likes taking glasses and putting them on his face. Well, actually he only likes it when it's your glasses or in this case Mr. Potato heads glasses, not when he could benefit from actually wearing them. I've gone thru quite a few pair of sunglasses since this little man came along; I've now gone to uber cheap sunglasses so I can stomach the break which will inevitably happen when he gets his hands on them. Sooo, the other night Will was playing with his toys and found these lovely spetacles and spent most of the evening playing w/ them squishing his cheeks together. So precious and funny!

Aunt Traci's Shower

We had a very jammed packed fun weekend with Aunt Traci's Baby Shower.

I've been putting this shower together since I found out she was having a baby. Something about it being my sister made me want perfection!!! My mom's dear friend Bonnie helped me throw it and I have to say, I wouldn't change a single thing about it.

The food was amazing (we had my mom's delicious chicken salad croissants)

Yummy cookies from Ruth's Sweet Justice,

Beautiful flowers and a vase full of candy

Strawberry Cupcakes and Ruth's Sweet Justice Cake...YUMMM!

Bonnie's lovely presentation of fruit,

A refreshing drink bar, with strawberry lemondae, iced tea, white white spritzers & water.
And most importantly, one very happy soon to be new Mommy.

Traci had an amazing turnout, all her friends and family there to share in her excitement.

A mountain of gifts to go thru.

Fun old friends to laugh until we almost peed our pants....Thanks girls!!!

And at the end a happy little boy telling his Aunt Sashi where the baby is.

After all the food was gone, gifts were open and happy guest had left, Grammy and Will sat down for a delicious dinner from Johnny Carino's as we all relaxed after the most perfect day.

I love you very much Traci, we can't wait for our precious nephew to get here and loved sharing in such a special day for you.

Weekend in KC

We spent last weekend in Kansas City and celebrated my cousins 16th Birthday, had a baby shower for Aunt Sashi (Traci) & a 60th Birthday Party for our Aunt Donna.

Will had so much fun over the weekend. Friday night he played with his new buddy Carter. He gave him a ton of hugs; I think Carter was hugged out by the end of the evening, but it was so sweet.

We spent most of our weekend outside...because, well where else do this child want to be!?! We'd come in, say heeeeyyyy, then bolt back out to play with rocks!
Then Saturday we had a baby shower for Aunt Traci. These cupcakes were to die for, though you felt like you ate all of them only after eating 1. YUM!
This is the Birthday Boy! Austin, he turns 16 on the 20th. Be glad he lives in Florida!!! Just kidding. During the shower, the guys spent the afternoon at this sports bar called 810 Zone...trying to spell Thasaurus (sp?) and create words using it and the dicitionary to play "words" on their iphones. Yeah, beer and Words; you can imagine where that went! (so we are clear; Austin wasn't partaking in the beer drinking...to my knowledge anyway!)

Then saturday afternoon we shopped....for Will of course and Baby D. They got loaded up on clothes. Will was a MAJOR Papa's boy over the weekend. In the picture above, he was calling Papa because he couldn't see him. Last week he was a Momma's boy, now if you aren't Daddy, Papa or Mike (Grandpa Mike); you pretty much are out of sight.
I didn't have my camera for Aunt Donna's 60th Birthday Party, I was trying to keep Will entertained so he wouldn't go into complete meltdown mode. He went all day w/out a nap and not one ounce of down time to at least get some rest and we were outside for 90% of that time, so the sun really wore him out. He did absolutely amazing though...thanks to Uncle Jason and his fist pounding game. I'll get pictures from everyone else and post them, there were some pretty funny ones.

Easter 2010

This post is a little delayed, but thought I'd get Easter pics on here anyway.

Our Easter started out over at Nana's house. We ate brunch and played outside.

Will and Grace are working on sharing now. It's not going so well, but their working on it non-the-less.

I wish I could say we coordinated this, but it's not the case. They did however look very precious in their matchy matchy clothes.

After Brunch with Nana, Uncle Corry, Aunt Wendy & Grace and a good long nap; we went over to Grammy & Grandpa's and hunted Easter eggs outside. After alittle assistance, Will became quite the pro at finding eggs.

Little man didn't wear pants for his egg hunt, we had previously been sticking our feet in the pool and he soaked himself head to toe and got me pretty good too, so he had to change into this t-shirt and dry his other clothes.

After a little while, he was dropping more eggs than picking up, so....

We went back to playing in the water.
Spring has been so good to us so far; I personally think it should after the horrible nasty winter we've had. All this beautiful weather has made life so much easier. When Will's happy everyone's happy...and he's happy Outside!

What did you say?

My sweet little boy said his first "OMG, what did you say?" word.

A****hole...

And before anyone thinks he learned it from me....no he didn't that's not one of the frequent bad words I say. I have no clue where he heard it, but last night he kept saying "a**hole"

Conversation:
Will: a**hole
Me: What did you say?
Will: a**hole
Me: Michael did you hear that?
Michael: Did he just say a**hole?
Me: (laughing my a** off) yes.
Will: A**hole....

School Easter Egg Hunt

School had to move the Easter Egg hunt indoors this morning thanks to good ole Mother Nature.

At first, Will attempted to carry all his eggs, but quickly figured out the sack was handy for storage.

He and his buddies got tattoo's, slinkies, cars, whistles & M&M's. They even got a visit from the Easter Bunny which abruptly was ended after sending several kids into a body shaking frenzy. Poor kids were tramatized. We attempted a picture w/ the bunny after the egg hunt, but close proximity to that furry creature sent Will into a tailspin. I kept telling him he's soft like Duke, but it was a no go. 1 Kid from his class took a picture w/out crying.

After all the Mommy's tramatized their children w/ the bunny, we went back to their room and played w/ all the goodies. Guess which end Will let go of? (picture above) And after watching one of his friends go completely nuts when his Mommy gave him a tattoo, I decided we'd nix that idea.
It was a pretty funny morning in the Toddler Room today. We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and enjoys the beautiful weekend. I can promise you we will be outside unless we are sleeping. Gotta Love Spring!
