Our Trip to Austin!

Last weekend Michael, Grammy, Will and I packed up and headed to Austin. We spent the weekend introducing Will to his new friend...that's a girl, Allison (daddy and Allison's daddy said they can't be called boyfriend and girlfriend!!!). My dear friend Brooke had a baby girl 4 weeks ago and we went down to meet her and for her family to meet Will for the first time. Brooke and I were pregnant together...(obviously!!!) and she was too big to travel to OKC when Will was born so we finally got together this past weekend for the first time to see each others babies. Anyway, Allison is so precious, she is tiny and delicate; just the way a baby girl should be. It was so weird holding her for the first time, I know Will is only 12 weeks old (can you believe that???), But I seriously don't remember him being that delicate. Even though he was that weight for a very very brief period of time; I don't think he ever was delicate. He's been boy since the get go! And after seeing little Miss Ally, I really realized how much of a Bruiser my precious boy is. Will did so well during his trip to Austin. He slept during most of the drive and handled staying in an unfamiliar place very well. He got to take his first trip...of many...to Cabela's to get Grandpa and Daddy a new deer blind and of course some killer Camo outfits for himself. It wasn't the same without Grandpa, but we'll go back soon with him so he can show Will the ropes of the hunting world. Here are a few pictures from our trip, Will and Ally's facial expressions are priceless.
Ally did a lot of this, but she was awake long enough for the next picture which was pretty funny!!!
Will looks like he's taking a crunch! They both look like they are studying something with great intent! And I just noticed it looks like Will is trying the arm stretch to wrap his arm around Ally. He's going to be such a Romeo! Look out girls!!!

Here is my little preciousness hanging in the hotel room.

And here is Mr. Flirt laughing at Grammy!!!!
What a fun weekend!!!

Will's Busy Week

How cute am I????

This week has been very eventful for Will. Not eventful in the sense that we've been out and about all week, but we've been working on a lot at home. Smiling, lifting our head, rolling over (haven't gotten that yet) sitting up on our own (with the boppy seat) and lots of talking with some attempts to laugh. Michael and I decided to try the boppy seat out last night to see how he does (he's not supposed to use it until 3 months). Well, not only did he sit in in well, he almost doesn't fit in it. His little legs get stuck going in and out. God bless our chunky monkey!!!!

Trying out my Boppy Seat

Now we are playing with my ocean friends....did I tell you how he likes to box? He is starting to grab at stuff and our little fist sucker has now found his thumb....YUM!!!
And another picture of me holding my head up! Oh yeah....touchdown!!!
Dad may kill mom for this, but here's a sneak peak of my halloween costume! I'm going to be a brown bear for my first halloween. I thought it was pretty funny when mom and dad put this on, but then I got irritated. Let's just hope it's cool on halloween; otherwise I won't be in this long. This outfit is a size 6-12 months (the smallest I could order) and though it's a little big, it actually fits him well. I mean come on, he is a brown bear, so he's supposed to look big. rrraaarrrr!!!!
And here I am calming down after all the craziness mom and dad put me thru. I really love my paci now; it really calms me down and I'm actually sleeping longer at night with it.

2 month check up

Will had his 2 month check up last week and mister chunky monkey weighs 15 lbs. 5 ozs. He's 23.5 inches long. The doctor said he's growing perfectly and has great control of his head. Unfortunately we started shots at this visit and that was brutal for mommy and Will. Grammy (my mom) went with us for support because daddy was traveling all over the country last week. Will ran a very mild temperature the next day and by mild it never went above 99.8 and tylonel nipped it in the bud quickly. Michael was so upset that he wasn't there for bubba bear, but I informed him we've got several more of these to go and he can be there for the rest. The doctor said Will will start laughing and rolling over in the next two months. I can't wait for laughter, you can tell he wants to make noise when he smiles but can't figure out how yet. He wiggles his body and coos so I'm sure laughter is in his very near future. The rolling part i'm worried about, I watch him like a hawk now, no more leaving him on the changing table when I go get clothes from him closet. We still aren't sleeping thru the night, but are only getting up once a night so that isn't as bad. Will has made it clear he is like his mommy though, when he's tired he's tired and you better get him to bed or he goes crazy. I've tried to stretch his bedtime to later in the evening so he'll sleep later or longer but he has an internal alarm clock that says bathtime is at 7:30 and he wants to be in bed no later than 8:30. And if you don't make this time schedule he lets you know about it non stop. But I can't complain; that just means mommy and daddy get to go to bed early to0. Michael, Will and I are really starting to get each other figured out, which is making life a lot easier. We are not quite sure what life was like before him; he makes us laugh and smile so much; I think Michael and I finally learned the true meaning of happiness. What a blessing!!!

Here is daddy and Will matching for the very disappointing OU/Texas game. At least they looked precious!!!!

Here is Grandpa Mike and me getting ready for the football game!
And Nana is listening to me talk her ear off after she filled my belly.

Look How Well I hold my head!

As Mr. Will was exploring his ocean world and new friends the other night, we flipped over for some tummy time and propped our head up good and strong for the first time.

Here is Will playing with his friends on his ocean mat. Miss Fishy is his favorite, he gets kisses from Miss Fishy. Mr. Ocotopus is a favorite too, he makes lots of noise w/ his rattle and makes Will laugh. He hasn't started grabbing at things yet, but he's a heck of a boxer.

All Smiles!!!

Will is 2 months old today : ( !!! He loves talking to you and sharing all his life stories. They are very interesting. And that smile will melt your heart. His daddy seems to think he should shave his head again so he can have the same haircut as Will, but mommy has asked so very very very politely to not do that!!
Will has found his hands and loves to suck on his fist. And mommies chin. I'm afraid I'm going to have a red mark from Will giving me kisses on my chin. They are so precious I can't resist. Here is daddy with this fist sucker himself.

First Football Game

Will got to go to his first football game this past weekend. He was decked out in all orange! He made his Grammy proud.
